On October 12, 2026, a press conference was held on Kurlandzka Street in Poznań, during which Jakub Rutnicki, Minister of Sports and Tourism, announced the awarding of 1.2 million PLN in funding for the construction of a new football pitch for KS Koziołek Poznań. The event was also attended by Emil Lisowski, CEO of Marathon International, a company that has been supporting the club’s activities and the development of young soccer players for over a dozen years.

The grant represents an important step toward the realization of this long-awaited project. A modern, full-size football pitch is to be built on Kurlandzka Street, which will serve over 350 young players from KS Koziołek Poznań. The new facility will provide the club with better conditions for conducting training sessions, organizing matches, and further developing its football training program.

The total cost of the investment is estimated at approximately 8 million PLN, which is why its implementation requires the involvement of additional partners and the securing of further funding. Among the companies that have pledged their support for the project is Marathon International, which also intends to allocate its own funds toward the construction of the facility.

Marathon International’s involvement in the development of KS Koziołek Poznań has a long history. The partnership began over a dozen years ago at the initiative of President Emil Lisowski and has since been an important part of the company’s social responsibility efforts. Supporting the club is, above all, an investment in the younger generation, the promotion of physical activity, and the creation of the right conditions for developing a passion for sports.

“I believe we will build our own football pitch by the end of next year,” emphasized Łukasz Bigus, President of KS Koziołek Poznań. Achieving this goal will be a landmark moment in the club’s history, opening up new opportunities for both current players and future generations of young soccer players.

Marathon International intends to actively support the next phases of the project, believing that cooperation between local government, public administration, the club, and business partners will ensure the investment’s successful completion. The new football pitch on Kurlandzka Street represents not only the development of Poznań’s sports infrastructure but, above all, an investment in the future of over 350 young players.
