KS Koziołek Poznań to Have a New Sports Field!

8 April, 2024 |

The Koziołek Poznań Sports Club has signed a long-term land lease agreement with the City Council in the Rataje district of Poznań. This means construction work on a new sports field can begin soon.

The new field will be located at the intersection of Kurlandzka, Szwedzka, and Szwajcarska streets. The facility will feature a full-size pitch measuring 100 by 60 meters, as well as locker rooms, stands for 300 spectators, office spaces, and a catering area. The new field will significantly support the development of young football talents and improve training conditions for the club’s players.

  • “This is a milestone event for us. It will allow us to provide our players with the best conditions for training and skill development. Now we move on to the phase of completing documents and submitting applications for the field’s construction. We eagerly await the move to the new facility,” said Łukasz Bigus from KS Koziołek Poznań.

The new facility will meet the requirements for matches in the 4th Senior League and the Central Junior League. The funding for the field will come from Marathon International, the club’s strategic sponsor, and government programs. Construction is expected to take three months and is planned for next spring.

  • “We have been supporting the club and its players for many years. I’m delighted that together we can build a new facility that will serve children and school youth during PE classes, sports team training, competitions, and as a recreational space for local residents. We spent a long time searching for the best location for this project. Ultimately, we chose a site that has been undeveloped for years. I’m confident this will also provide a boost for the development of this part of the city,” said Emil Lisowski, CEO of Marathon International.
